KAWASAKI VULCAN S.

Kawasaki's thinking brains do not stop. The latest and promising creation of the Akashi firm is a small custom that, without having an enormous power, does have magnificent features and a groundbreaking aesthetic: the Vulcan S.
It is a completely original model, which, although it may remind us of the ER-650, presents a more modern and urban image. The smallest of the saga is not only a most innovative motorcycle, with marked curved lines, but also quite accessible to all audiences. Colorful and functional, it is called to be one of the benchmarks of the custom market in 2020.
Kawasaki Vulcan S.
The new multitubular chassis made of high-tension steel, rigid, diamond-shaped, gives it a light appearance without having to give up resistance. Together with its 649 cc twin-cylinder parallel-cooled liquid cooling engine, with 61 horsepower, and a rear mono-shock absorber, they achieve the perfect combination to turn the Vulcan S into a cutting-edge motorcycle.
Personality, comfort, performance. The Vulcan S does not disappoint. One of its most outstanding technical characteristics is found in the suspension. It features a conventional telescopic fork as a front suspension, while the rear is an offset suspension with connecting rods, adjustable spring preload with 7 clicks.
On the other hand, an ABS brake system, with 300 mm discs, for the front wheel and 250 mm for the rear wheel, gives this small 'dark custom' a safer and more efficient braking capacity. Although its chassis is somewhat narrow, its spectacular 6-spoke, 18-inch and 17-inch alloy wheels give it a fantastic authentic custom look.
It also has digital ignition and electronic start, and a mixed instrumental panel that mixes the analog of its tachometer, with the digital of a versatile LCD screen.
Another difference with its predecessor is that the capacity of the fuel tank has been modified, expanding to 14 liters. Thus, the new model increases its autonomy, both in the city and on the road, where it could almost reach 300 km without refueling.
In addition to its attractive design of curved lines with a classic headlight, comfort is another of the notable aspects of this new arrival Kawa. It has advanced and adjustable footrests, allowing a relaxed position in driving, and with a low seat, 705 mm from the ground, which allows the driver to plant the feet when the motorcycle is stopped.
Kawasaki Vulcan S.
Even if you are one of those who have just started in A2 it may be the perfect motorcycle. Its marked distance between the axles, 1,575 mm, gives unbeatable stability and a simple style while comfortable driving. The center of gravity of the motorcycle is further reinforced by the position of the exhaust, which has been placed under the engine.
In the design of the new Vulcan S, the supremacy of black is also surprising, while chrome shines for its absence. Combined with six-spoke alloy wheels, they give it a spectacular look. 3 different color options are offered for this new model of the Japanese brand: Metallic Flat Spark Black, Brown or the special edition, Green, with a price range between € 7,850 and € 8,050.
A more or less affordable amount for a high performance urban motorcycle, considering in which figures its main natural competitors move: the Honda Rebel, which is at € 6,200 and the Yamaha XV950R, which is around € 10,000. Under this panorama, we have the doubt of whether the new Vulcan S will mark an era, as there are those who are willing to ensure now, or will pass without sorrow or glory.
